Industrial painters

Salary per hour is: ISK 3073 per normal hour and overtime is ISK 5531 per hour. 

10.17% vacation allowance is paid with each salary.

There is a 12 weeks contract, after that guys may go home for 2-4 weeks. The company buys both tickets for guys, but they have to stay there for 12 weeks.

If, for any reason, the contract ends sooner than 8 weeks (whether guys want to leave or, in extreme cases, they are fired), the company will retain the cost of their ticket to Island and half price of working clothes. They will need to buy themselves a return ticket or if they want the company to buy it for them, then it will retained from their salary.

A room for one person is available  and the rent for a room costs 2000 isk per day, that is the equivalent of 400 euros per month.

Guys will receive a tax number In Iceland, it is called kennitala number and for that there is a form to be filled in and they will get support to open a bank accounts there so that company could transfer you the salary every 2 weeks.

As net salary, after withholding taxes and rent:

- For 60 hours worked per week, after one month, netto salary is 555024 ISK, that is 3629 euros.

The tax there is in steps: 31% up to a certain amount, then 37%.  For Iceland the rates and estimated netto salary are in the contract.

A taxi or a coordinator will pick guys up from airport.

  • Previous experience as an industrial painter/ general worker
  • ID/Passport
  • Updated CV
  • Criminal record proof.
