Job Description

Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization with regard to goals, budgets, and forecasts. Provide insight and recommendations. Identify, acquire and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information.

A Chief Accountant, also known as a Controller or Head of Accounting, is the conductor of an organization's financial orchestra.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS

• A university degree in accounting, finance or economics;
• At least 3 years' experience as a Chief Accountant;
• Good knowledge of Latvian and English;
• Proficiency in MS Office, in particular MS Excel;
• Knowledge of accounting software (1C, SAP);
• Accuracy, sense of responsibility and ability to meet deadlines;
• Good communication skills.

TASKS

• Recording and booking of bank transactions, preparation of outgoing payments;
• Verification and posting of incoming invoices;
• Preparation of outgoing invoices;
• Preparation and submission of tax reports;
• Payroll in 1C software;
• Preparation of annual accounts and cooperation with external auditors;
• Managing the monthly and year-end financial closing process;
• Ensuring the accounting of fixed assets and the successful completion of inventories;
• Processing and control of advance payments, fuel reports;
• Prepare other accounting documents, post data in accounting software;
• Preparation of various reports.
