A primary goal will be to increase our management, organization's productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

Metal Element Group is a Latvian-based steel wholesale and production company.

Founded in 2002, the company represents a solid manufacturing field in the Baltics state with the goal to produce the finest housing and industrial products from different metals.

Company employs 15 people, has offices in Marupe, Latvia and Tarragona, Spain.

Currently, the company manufactures the following products:

- Gate elements and automation (CAIS);
- INOX railing systems;
- Fences, 3D fences, metal fences;
- Forged steel;
- Galvanised profiles;
- Other types of steel import & wholesale;

A Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a metalworking manufacturing company, with branches in EU countries.

Duties:


Operational management of structural divisions (branches) in the Baltic States and Spain;
Participation in planning, development and implementation of strategic plans;
Participation in the definition of priority areas of development;
Setting and monitoring the implementation of goals;
Improving the operating efficiency of the company to ensure profitable growth;
Monitoring operational and financial results in relation to the company's plans;
Audit of current business processes and their improvement;
Development and implementation of standards and performance indicators for employees and departments;
Improving the efficiency of interaction between the departments of the company;
Ensuring effective teamwork.


Requirements:


Experience in the positions of COO, CMO, Head of Department at least 2 years;
Experience in team management;
Deep knowledge of the metalworking niche and understanding is a big plus;
Excellent communication and persuasion skills;
Leadership qualities, ability to work autonomously;
Availability of successful cases for improving business processes for the growth of business indicators;
Ability to achieve set goals, initiative;
Willingness to take responsibility;
Experience in business development and building strategies and tactics;
Experience in building teams and working with their motivation;
Knowledge of English is at least intermediate;
Analytical skills and understanding of financial metrics.

Main responsibilities

1) Hiring and staffing: 

- oversees all of the HR and staffing functions of a business, which are responsible for setting and maintaining a company’s recruitment standards, and the internal policies of the human resources. 

2) Enforcing and implementing a company’s standards: 
- responsible for carrying out the company’s adjustment to scale business, which is a written strategy document that defines a business’s goals and how it will go about achieving them. 
- responsible for devising a company’s strategy in the wider marketplace.

3) Budgeting and accounts:
 - responsible for overseeing a company’s financial operations. 
- responsible for high-level decision-making when it comes to a company’s budget and accounts, with the financial departments of a company reporting to them.

4) Overseeing administrative functions: 
- responsible for implementing and monitoring the operational function of a business, which includes administrative activities. 

5) A lot of business trips: to the Baltic States, & EU countries as well.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of the industry including risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles including budgeting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and capital planning management
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership ability
