Job Description

The Head Pastry Chef is responsible for leading the pastry section of the kitchen, overseeing the creation and execution of all baked goods, desserts, and specialty items. This role requires a high level of creativity, precision, and leadership, ensuring consistent quality and innovation in all pastry offerings. The Pastry Head Chef works closely with the Executive Chef to align with the overall culinary vision and standards of the establishment.

We are recruiting a Head Pastry chef for our client's CAFE in Central Riga.

Prior high end Head Pastry Chef experience is preferred. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Presentation & Decoration: Ensuring the aesthetic appeal of desserts and pastries through various decorating techniques and presentation styles.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Managing ingredient levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining a budget for the pastry section.
  • Team Management: Train, supervise, and mentor junior chefs or kitchen staff within the pastry section.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
